Math Resources
Math Videos- If you're feeling lost because your child is using a strategy you've never heard of, look at these videos. WCPSS has quick explanation videos that take you step by step through an example.
Math At A Glance- This link will take you to different informational descriptions for each unit taught each quarter. They have additional resources, videos links for you, etc. As I change units, which specific dates/themes will be in our Ducky Delights Newsletter, use this resource in addition to any Educreation video shared. Word Problems- Throughout the year we will work on a variety of types of word problems. The ones with a K or 1st in them are the types your child is responsible to answer. Additionally, when solving word problems, students must use a “mystery box” for the unknown symbol when writing a math sentence. County and state expectations state students will need to solve word problems using words, numbers, and or pictures as well as math sentence to solve all problems. Math Poem- Here is a copy of the math poem taught to your child to help them remember the worth of each coin. Also look at the money videos with the items found on the front and back of each coin. |
